7 Monthly Box Subscriptions Worth Your Loyalty

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Drexel chapter.

There are a lot of subscriptions out there vying for your monthly loyalty and most of us would probably love to sign up for them all! We’re college students, so we have a budget, but we also feel the need to have really cool things to look forward to. Here’s a rundown of some of the most popular monthly subscriptions, what they’ll cost you, and what you’ll get from them.

1. BirchBox

Birchbox costs $10 a month for a regular subscription and it gets you five samples of make-up and beauty products per month. When you sign up for a Birchbox, you also get to fill out a “Beauty Profile,” that asks about your skin type, make-up preferences, hair type, and more so that they can tailor your monthly box to you. Many of the products included in the boxes are full sized (like lip-sticks) while others are sample sized (like lotions or perfumes).

2. The PMS Package

Here’s a monthly gift we would much rather receive than the one we get from Mother Nature. You can coordinate the delivery of your PMS Package to when you’re expecting your period (or the brunt of your PMS). PMS Packages come in three sizes. The Mini Package is $12.99 a month, the Featured Package is $23.99 a month, and the Executive Package is $34.99 a month. The Mini gets you candies, chocolates, cookies, soothing beauty supplies, and more. Both the Featured Package and Executive Package include all of that and more, as well as mystery items!

3. The Cravory

This box will turn us all into Cookie Monsters of epic proportions. The Cravory delivers delicious cookies right to your door every month. You can get the Teaser box, which includes six cookies for $15 a month. If six cookies just isn’t enough for you (which we can totally sympathize with) you can get the 1 Dozen box for $19 a month. If that still isn’t enough to soothe your cookie cravings (we are still on your side here), there is the 2 Dozen box for $36 a month.

4. The BarkBox

Here’s one for the dog lovers. The BarkBox is a monthly gift box for your pawed pal that includes toys, treats, and other goodies just for your dog. The cost is $29 for one month and, like the BirchBox, you get to fill out a Puppy Profile where you give the size of your dog (small and cute, just right, or big and bold) so the gadgets and goodies can be customized. While sending this box of love to our own dog, we also send love to the dogs who really need it because 10 percent of proceeds from the BarkBox go to over 3,000 shelters and rescues in the U.S. and Canada.

5. Love With Food

Our two favorite things—love and food. The food part of the equation is that this box brings you natural or organic snacks. The love part is that each box gives at least one meal to a child fighting hunger in America. The Tasting Box costs $7.99 a month, contains 8 snacks, and donates one meal. The Deluxe Box costs $16.50 a month, contains 16-20 snacks, and donates two meals. The Gluten Free Box costs $19.99 a month, contains 10-15 snacks, and also donates two meals.

6. Tea Sparrow

The Tea Sparrow Box allows you to try a variety of teas without having to waste 49 bags in a 50-bag box if you don’t like the tea. This box costs $20 a month and includes four teas from around the world. Each box will give you an average of 35 cups of tea. If you fall completely in love with a tea, there is ordering information included on each bag so you can get more of whatever teas you want!

7. The MistoBox

Coffee lovers, rejoice! There is a box for us as well. Upon signing up, you take a “coffee quiz” to tell the creators of the boxes what roast you like, what flavors you like, and how much coffee you drink a week so you can enjoy individualized boxes of coffee goodness. There are two types of MistoBoxes: the Sampler, which has 4 different 3-ounce bags, or the MistoBox One, which has one 12-ounce bag of coffee. Each box costs $21.99 a month.

Now you’re ready to make a decision about which box (or two, or three, or seven….) you want to subscribe to! Think we missed a monthly box that’s worth some attention? Let us know on Facebook or Twitter!
