These days it seems like the minute Halloween ends, Christmas season begins. I believe that we are jumping the gun a little too soon on Christmas season, though. Now, don’t get me wrong, I love Christmas as much as the next guy! However, I think we are overlooking a pretty awesome holiday: Thanksgiving.
Thanksgiving deserves some recognition too! Here are a few reasons why we need to start showing Thanksgiving more love:
1.The Food
I love Thanksgiving food. There is nothing better than stuffing and cranberry sauce. Also, Thanksgiving is pretty awesome for being a holiday all about food! There is no stress about buying gifts for your loved ones. You can just sit back, relax, and enjoy some awesome food with your family.
2. The Parade
As a kid, I loved watching the Thanksgiving day parade. I’m not afraid to admit that I still love watching the parade as a 20 year old college student! This is the holy grail of parades and no Thanksgiving day celebration would be complete without it.
3. Black Friday
Black Friday sales are hard to beat. Grab a few friends or family members and head to the mall the day after Thanksgiving. It’s always a lot of fun and you can get great deals! If you are really hardcore, you can even start shopping at midnight!
Overall, Thanksgiving is a quality holiday that is unfortunately overshadowed by Christmas and Halloween. I say keep your Christmas trees away for now and get excited for the most underrated holiday of the year!
