The 10 Stages of “Hallothanksmas”

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Dickinson chapter.

It’s that time of year again: the time of crunchy leaves, pumpkin everything and never-ending Christmas tunes. The last three months of the year can always feel like a whirlwind of holidays, so it seems better to just refer to this time of festivity as “Hallothanksmas.” Here are all of the phases that you will inevitably go through this time of year.

1. Seeing the calendar hit October 1st and realizing that the best part of the year is about to begin.

2. Getting your costume and Halloween plans ready for the rest of the month.

3. Halloween. Must I say anything else?

4. Starting Christmas just a tad early.

5. Watching all the Christmas sales pop up everywhere… and taking advantage.

6. Thanksgiving finally hits and all you can think about is the food.

7. At the start of December everyone understands Buddy’s excitement.

8. Realizing that you have no money to buy everyone presents.

9. Receiving gifts is always fun, even if they’re not what you expected….

10. Remembering that you have to get through another year to celebrate again.
