The person that supports you the most?
Besides the man upstairs (God) I would say that both of my parents support me the most! They are always pushing me to be the best individual, student, and professional that I can be because they know in their hearts that I have a lot of potential to do wonderful things. Sometimes I get emotional when I talk about them because they have made so many sacrifices throughout their lives to support my dreams and visions 100%. Not only are they my biggest support systems, but they are my the greatest blessings that I have ever received from God. I still can’t thank him enough!
Favorite movie? Why?
My favorite movie of all time has to be “Matilda”. It’s an older movie, but I can relate to the main character, Matilda, because she had a mean teacher that reminds me of the one I had in 5th grade.
What are you looking forward to the most?
I am looking forward to the future! It’s scary and exciting to think about what my life will be like after college. Where will I live? Where will I be working? They are all questions that I am curious to answer in the years to come!
The Greatest Lesson
The greatest lesson I learned was that being comfortable with who you are reaps several benefits! For example, I remember being so selfconcious in middle school. I was not necessarily shy, but I was worried about being socially accepted among my peers. It eventually reached a point to where I never posted any pictures on social media for years, or attended any get togethers with my friends. Then one day, I asked myself “why am I isolating myself in a box that wasn’t even there to begin with?”, and this was the day that I decided to show the world who I really am. I created a YouTube channel last December, and just by doing what I love and sharing my bubbly and enthusiastic personality, I now have 9,000 people who support me (subscribers) and over 1 million views. I know that if I stayed in that imaginary box, then I wouldn’t be where I am today.
The greatest risk I ever took was
Creating a social media presence to engage with global audiences. This can be risky in that although the Internet is a great way to connect with others, it can also be just as dangerous. I have received criticism on my YouTube videos, hate comments, and spam like all YouTube creators do, and it can be risky. I have opened a portal to receive judgement, and mean feedback, but I never let it discourage me. I just keep doing what I do because there is always people that to support me, which ultimately motivates me to keep going!
Name one thing about yourself that most people don’t know
That I love to write songs! I’ve been writing them for 9 years!
What makes you laugh?
Definitely memes, prank videos and my friends and family! They are all hysterical
What is your biggest pet peeve?
I have so many but one thing that bothers me the most is when adults smoke cigarettes around children. I love kids, and feel as though we need to always protect them because they really are the future!
