What’s In My Backpack: Senior Year

This will be my last year of college and last school backpack. :(  Throughout the previous three years, I have changed what was inside my backpack.  Learning needs, wants, and what doesn’t need to be inside it.  What the best method of organization is and how I could make it lighter.  Therefore, I have finally figured out the perfect combination for my last year, light but still carries the necessities.

I like to use my Windows Surface laptop, I have had it for two years and I love how it can flip from an iPad into a laptop.  It is light, small, and my laptop can still fit in the backpack with the case on.  The pen accessory that comes with it also fits!

I use a stainless steel water bottle I received from an event, Discovery was one of the sponsors.  Any water bottle works, I like to stay hydrated in class and when I work out at the end of the day.

I like to have a binder rather than several or one of the three subject notebooks, because it is less bulky and could hold more paper.  I also like to use sheet protectors.  Therefore, I can avoid using a hole puncher, ending with the holes ripping.

I like to keep my electronics organized into one bag, within the one bag is different smaller bags.  Inside my bag includes headphones, a portable charger, my different cords, a couple wall sockets, camera, one car charger, a sandwich bag filled with labeled SD cards, a flash drive, and two terabytes.  All of this is useful in my major being television, radio, and film.

In my feminine bag, I had tampons and pads in case an unexpected accident occurs.  Along with any medications, including over the counter, I need to take throughout the day. Some over the counter medication includes advil, tylenol, and benadryl to name a few.  Cosmetics could also be in this bag too from lipstick and mascara to rub on perfume.

I like to keep a calendar, where I can write down homework due and keep track of events.  I like to highlight and use colored pens to help separate the events from homework and tests.  Along with a short list of emergency contacts, goals, and more.

I have one pocket dedicated to stationary, where you can find my pens, pencils, sticky notes, white out, and highlighters.  I think this is useful in case someone asks to borrow a pen or if you used all the ink in one and need another.

Does anyone else have one of these?  Throughout the day I get the munchies, so I can just pick something out from the pocket instead of buying snacks from the convenience store or vending machine.  This also helps save money.

This is one of the most valuable, because it is where I keep my keys, sunglasses, prescription glasses (when I don’t need them), and anything else I need quickly.
