Organizations To Join In The Spring Semester

Are you looking to join a new organization on campus, but don’t know what organizations are available?  Well here are a few organizations on the campus of Delaware State University that you should consider joining!  

SGA

Student Government Association is the organization for you if you like being involved on campus, campaigning, and love to lead.

Royal Court

Opposite of student government, the Royal Court consists of Mr. and Mrs. DESU, along with a Mr. and Mrs. in each classification (ex. Mr. Junior, Ms. Senior, Ms. Freshman, Mr. Sophomore).

The Curve

They are about “Creating unity resulting in voluptuous empowerment,” by showing off women with curves, showing that they are beautiful no matter your appearance.

Dreamers

Dreamers who are on scholarship through DACA, but they are open to everyone who wants to learn more about them and their lives.

O.D.D.I.T.Y

Promoting an environment for the LGBTQ community by educating on societal matters in regards to gender identity and sexual orientation.

Public Relations Student Society of America, also known as if you like public relations and advertising then this is the organization for you.  You can learn more about the concepts of advertising and work on a variety of projects related.

If you’re looking for a mentor, then this is a Big Sister, Little Sister type of organization.   Having a mentor and someone to help you around campus or just in case you need something.

Open to anyone who loves gospel and to sing it! Practices are Tuesdays and Thursday at 7 pm.

Men of Color Alliance where men educate and elevate those who are male and of color on campus through academics, leadership, mentorship, community service, and career development.

ASA “Oyato Dancers”

I Oyato meaning “I’m different.”  The African Student Association loves to dance and perform at events around campus. Along with representing their African culture and diverse backgrounds.
