Lately everybody has been coming out with a list of their top fifty rappers. Who deserves to be at the top? This has been the biggest question the past couple of months. Here is my top ten rappers:

Andre3000

Andre3000 is my all-time favorite artist. He is part of the group OutKast.  I grew up listening to his music. My dad is from Georgia just like Andre3000. His lyrics and music are superb. Speakerboxx / The Love Below is my favorite album.

Kanye West

I am a big Kanye West fan. I like his older albums more, like the Late Registration album. His Graduation album is my favorite. I love every song of that album.

Big Boi

Big Boi is the other half of OutKast. One again Speakerboxx / The Love Below is a great album to listen to. Just like Andre3000 I grew up listening to him. Big Boi still makes music to this day.

Lil Wayne

Lil Wayne has been around for a while now. He has so many albums and song features. The Carter II and I Am Not a Human Being II are some of my favorite albums.

Kendrick Lamar

My favorite album is the DAMN album. His old music is very good as well. He is a great lyricist. His songs are really deep.

Jay-Z

I like more of his older albums like The Black Album and The Dynasty. Also the Watch the Throne album which he made with Kanye West.

Nicki Minaj

Nicki Minaj has so many good songs. She is definitely the greatest female rapper out right now. (Even though she “retired”). She raps and sings. All her music is great.

Lauryn Hill

Lauryn Hill was the best female rapper back in the day. She was one of the female artists that  paved the way for female artists now. She was in a group called the Fugees and then decided to go off on her own. The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill is my favorite album.

Twista

Twista was one of the fastest rappers back in the day. He won a Guinness World Records in 1992. He is a great rapper and producer.

Missy Elliott

Missy Elliott is the first female rap artist to enter the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
