Long Distance Relationships…Do They Really Work Out?
Long distance relationships are extremely complicated and honestly suck. Most college students go to school and their significant other go to different schools. I think the biggest issue with long distance relationships is the fact you do not see your significant other as much as you would like. Yeah there is FaceTime but honestly it is not the same as spending time with you bae in person. Overall, I would say long distance relationships can work if both you and your bae are committed to only each other and have a clear understanding of what you both want out of the relationship. Do not get me wrong there definitely are times when there will be arguments, probably more than in person, but if you really love them, you will just learn from the argument and learn how to build a better relationship. A big role in a long distance relationship is trust. One must really trust and believe their partner will stay loyal to them and only them, which maybe hard for some people. Sometimes long distance are complicated and it may not work out. Some couples, especially college couples find it hard to balance a long distance relationship and everything else going on in their lives. Some couples may just be better when living in closer proximity to one another, so long distance may not work. As a college student just remember how young you are, you still will have time to meet someone, fall in love, get married, etc. If a long distance relationship does not work out it will be okay. If it is meant to be there will come another opportunity to try the relationship again. My overall opinion is that long distance relationships can work out if both you and your bae really want it to work and you both communicate with each other very well and the love is there.
