INEXPENSIVE THINGS TO DO DURING SPRING BREAK

Is your spring break rapidly approaching and you’re unsure of what to do? Your friends aren’t going to be home yet, that trip you planned never came to fruition, your finances aren’t right whatever the case maybe I can assure that there are still plenty of fun inexpensive ways to have fun and enjoy your break to the fullest.

1) Check online or in newspapers for free events and activities in your community

  • A lot of communities offer free events that are open to the local community. These can range from the arts, recreation, film screenings, and more. Take advantage if any events will be taking place while you are going to be home.

2) Visit the library

  • Libraries have good finds often if look closely. You don’t necessarily have to pick out a novel, but instead find books that appeal to you. Cookbooks, autobiographies, or children’s books you used to read. Anything. Sip some coffee and take a moment to read and reflect.

3) Visit your high school

  • Take a walk down memory lane and surprise old teachers and friends.

4) Staycation/ Self-care

  • This idea is often criticized the most. You can legit take this break to take a BREAK. Whether it’s mental or physical. Relax and catch up on rest. Indulge in some self-care. Stay in pajamas and under the covers watching Netflix or reading a book all day if that’s what you need.

5) Talk a walk around the park

  • Sometimes we get so consumed with school and work that we forget how big and beautiful the world is. Take a stroll throughout a local park. Observe the scenery, take some pictures, sit on a bench and just breathe. Take some time and carefully look at the beautiful things that surround you.

6) Clean up around the house

  • They don’t call it spring cleaning for nothing. Take an hour or two each day to tidy up your room. Go through your closet, and perhaps set aside clothes you’ve outgrown. Find a shelter to donate them to, or a local thrift store to make some quick cash.

I hope you have a lovely spring break!
