Coffee is My Go To Beverage By Amirah Johnson

Hot, iced, cold brew, espresso, americano, cappuccino…this list could go on and on. Coffee is so versatile. I love everything about it. Its smell, various tastes, and the little fixings you can add into it (flavored syrups, creamers, whip cream etc.) to make it just the way you like it. I started drinking coffee at a very young age. I was hooked the first time I tried it. I started off drinking hot coffee. It was Café Pilon to be exact which is a brand of coffee that my Grandma swears by. Every time she’d make a pot there would be a cup of coffee waiting for me alongside hers. As I grew older I transitioned from hot to iced coffee. I fell in love with Dunkin’s iced coffees and lattes. Those were my go-to-drinks for a while. Then I was introduced to Starbucks and started drinking their iced americanos and macchiatos. I drink Starbucks and Dunkin’ equally. I can’t pick a favorite, because they’re both so darn good! Despite my knowledge and experience with different types of coffee, I would not say I’m a coffee connoisseur. There are still types I have yet to try. Honestly, I think there is at least one type of coffee out there for everyone to enjoy. However, if coffee isn’t your thing that’s fine, but it doesn’t hurt to say you have tried it!
