Clothes Social Media Trends

One in ten people are throwing their clothes away after posting their outfit one to three times on social media studies show.  This has to be one of the craziest trends of our generation so far. Our generation is definitely one that likes to show their creative styles and outfits, but there is also need for having the newest clothing or always showing something new off.  We are also a social media generation; Instagram, Twitter, Tumblr, and YouTube are some of our most used platforms. Therefore instead of throwing away clothing, why don’t we give our clothing away to charity or sell it as alternative options. After taking one selfie, people usually do not like to wear the same outfits in their pictures, but why not create a new outfit using one or two pieces from the outfits before?  Global warming is already a heated problem globally and within our environment. Landfills are not only getting filled with other trash, but now clothes. What will this trend do to our environment and is there a better method to this madness? This trend is most known on Instagram where you can post an image then add a comment and hashtags. It is one of the popular platforms of social media currently within the younger generation.  Is this trend affecting the face of Instagram or their audiences opinions of the platform? We want to hear your opinion about this trend so comment below and let your voice be heard.
