5 CUTE, LIT AND INEXPENSIVE GET-TOGETHERS TO HAVE THIS CHRISTMAS

By Amirah Johnson

The most wonderful time of the year is almost here. Christmas represents much more than decorating, gift-giving and receiving. It is truly a time of creating memories, special traditions, and spreading love which this list helps brings to fruition.

1. Lip Sync Battle: Christmas Edition

Create your dream Christmas concert in the comfort your own home. Decide who will be participating in the battle. You will need two participants minimum. Once there are two participants, or more create a playlist using any music streaming service of the songs that are going to be used for the battle. If you want to get real fancy choose a host for the battle. Also, pick someone who won’t be biased when choosing the winner of the battle. Think of the most honest person you know and ask if they can be a judge.

2. HUMAN WRAPPING PAPER CHALLENGE

This game is fun for all ages. Go to the nearest dollar store to pick up some wrapping paper and tape. You need two, or more players for the game. People are also needed to help wrap the players. First instruct the participants to stand up straight, and put their arms at the sides of their bodies. Next begin wrapping tape around them from their chests to their ankles. Following that, begin wrapping them in wrapping paper. The first participant to escape out of the wrapping paper and tape wins! For further examples of the game, search videos of it on YouTube.

3. CHRISTMAS COSTUME CONTEST

Christmas has a plethora of iconic characters. Get into the Christmas spirit by dressing up as Santa, Mrs.Claus, an elf, a reindeer, Frosty the Snowman, or other characters. For help with creating costumes you can find ideas on Pinterest, Instagram, and YouTube. Choose someone who is unbiased to pick the winner.

4. PAJAMA CHRISTMAS MOVIE NIGHT

Have a Christmas movie marathon at someone’s house. For the movies, you can use any streaming service, or be old-school and bust out DVD’s and VHS Tapes. Strict attire is enforced for this get-together which is a pajamas only affair! Come in your comfiest PJ sets, onesies, socks, and slippers. Kindly ask if each person

coming to the movie night can bring one snack to compliment the movie experience.

6. VOLUNTEER

Find shelters for the homeless, senior citizens, or hospitals in need of volunteers during the holiday season. Once you find volunteer opportunities roll deep with your squad, and bring positivity into someone’s life.

Have a great Christmas!J
