Will Block ’15

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at DePauw chapter.

Will Block showed up looking casually cool to our interview, rocking a red Polo t-shirt paired with some dark wash 7 Jeans.  Not only did Will dress nice, but he even smelled intoxicatingly good ladies…come on a guy that wears cologne to class is a keeper. What really left me with a lasting first impression was that Will was subtly carrying a water bottle supporting his father, Rich Block’s campaign for city council elections in Fishers, Indiana. My goodness, he is even a family man! Just wait for the rest of the interview; he will continue to woo you as he reveals his lovable, outgoing personality.

Her Campus – So Will, tell the readers a little bit about yourself, what you like to do in your space time, where you’re from; anything to tell our readers who Will Block really is.

Campus Cutie– I am from Fishers, Indiana born and raised. I am spunky, outgoing, and a fun loving person that loves meeting new people. I am a Beta Theta Pi fraternity member, also known as the dragons. I am an economics major, and I part of the MOFO program. I know I sound like I am super busy with school work and my extracurricular activities, but I like to relax by going on long walks on the beach, or I’ll settle for the nature park.

HC– So what is something that no one else really knows about you, a fun fact?

CC– I use to want to be a train conductor when I was younger. I have a huge train set in my basement and had a virtual town. Not to mention I still love Thomas the train engine. Oh, and I also have a fantastic British accent, not to toot my own horn or anything.

HC– So random question, can you sing?

CC– I do some casual karaoke sessions, but I am not sure how much people enjoy it. I have been booed off stage before…

HC– So with Halloween being last week, I thought we would do a special edition of Campus Cutie and spice things up a bit with some Halloween questions. What did you dress us as for Halloween?

CC– I was Emit from the Lego Movie, and sang the song, “Everything is awesome.” (Will gave me a preview of the song exemplifying his lovely voice…)

HC– I am sure you did lots of trick or treating!  What is your favorite candy?

CC– Oh heck yes I did! But hmmmm…that’s a tough one because I love all candy. But if I had to pick one, I would say Reese’s, but I prefer the Easter edition with the bunny Reese’s as opposed to the Halloween edition.

HC– Who doesn’t love Reese’s. Anyway, so it’s about that time of the interview! What is the status of our Campus Cutie of the week?

CC– My Facebook status? Lol jk. I am single.

HC– So does that mean you are you single and ready to mingle?

CC– Oh yeah, I mingle every once in a while.

HC– What do you look for in a girl that you are into?

CC– I usually look for someone I can easily carry on a conversation with, whether the conversation is about something silly. I’m pretty weird so if she can roll with the punches, then that is a very attractive quality.

HC– Have you ever gone on a date at DePauw?

CC– No, I don’t think I actually have; that’s weird now that I think of it. So I am looking to change that ladies.

HC– Any last comments for our readers?

CC– To my future wifey: come over to my house at Beta Theta Pi and I will treat you to some pizza and pi.

HC– Ladies, Mr. Block seems to be DePauw’s most eligible bachelor right now on campus!  He is funny and has a wonderful sense of humor that kept me laughing throughout the interview. He really is a genuine guy, and quite the fox! Make sure you say hey to him next time you see him in Julian!
