Top 5 Best Water Bottles to #stayhydrated

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at DePauw chapter.

If you’re like me, then you know that hydration is key. If you want to stay hydrated, you need a snazzy water bottle that not only keeps water cold but is also affordable, easy to clean, and looks cool! Here are some of the best water bottles that I have found in my hunt for hydration!

Starbucks Tumbler

These tumblers come in a variety of sizes from 16-24 ounces, as well as metal or plastic and tons of different colors and patterns. This water bottle is a great investment and is super easy to clean. Although the straw is great to drink out of, it does create an additional risk of spilling water when it tumbles over (get it). Unlike other tumblers, these are sturdy and not prone to cracking.

Swell

Although they’re a little bit on the pricier side ($25-$45), Swell bottles are guaranteed to keep cold drinks cold for 24 hours and hot drinks hot for up to 12. They also come in a variety of great patterns, and you can add personalized monograms on them if you’re into that. Downside is that they’re a little more difficult to clean and make a really loud noise when you drop them.

Blender Bottle

The cheapest water bottle of my favorites at $9-$25, bottle blenders are great for athletes looking for an easy way to mix protein. These bottles are generally plastic but can also come in metal versions. They don’t keep water super cold but are great to grab and go to the gym, with easy cleaning and refill.

Hydro Flask

Although Hydro Flasks keep water just as cold as Swell and come in at a similar price (~$40), their purpose and philosophies differ. Hydro Flask advertises itself as a water bottle for adventurers with easy-to-carry caps and many different options. Hydro Flask also offers a lifetime warranty because they believe in their product that much. The design is less aesthetically pleasing than Swell bottles but perhaps more practical; depends on what you’re into.

David’s Tea: Tea-infusing water bottle

David’s Tea makes a very unique water bottle in which you can infuse your tea. This is definitely a water bottle for anyone who is trying to find their inner yogi. This water bottle provides a super easy on-the-go method of making tea that is not only fun to watch but also delicious to drink! However, this water bottle is going to cost you about $30 and is a bit more difficult to clean due to the tea component.

Whatever water bottle you choose, the most important thing is that you’re staying hydrated! I hope that this article helped you to choose the best water bottle for you. Even though some of them are a bit expensive, trust me, it’s a good investment and your body will thank you! Remember, ladies: hydrate or die-drate.
