After Thanksgiving, we all hope to fast forward to winter break where we don’t have to worry about papers and homework. Whether you’re going to be laying out on a beach or watching Netflix at home, everyone is yearning for those few weeks off. Unfortunately, finals are in the way. Let’s hear from a couple of people on their favorite study spots and study strategies, so you can make it through these last few weeks!

Chloe Boensch:

“My favorite study spot is Prevo Library because it is absolutely silent, and if I work alone in my room, I usually start getting side tracked by watching videos. My study strategies include making quizlets, writing the content over and over because that’s what really gets it engrained in your head and most importantly, sleep because that’s what embeds the memories you made that day.”

Izabelle Bystrowicz:

“My favorite study spot is Julian because it is quiet enough to focus but also has the right amount of distractions to prevent me from going crazy. I like to take breaks in between by conversing with other people. My study strategy is tackling things one by one. Having a checklist is key to preventing me from being overwhelmed.”

Emily Hupalo:

“I switch up where I study a lot, but my favorite spot is Prevo Library right now. My study strategy is starting with one subject and taking a break to get snacks from the GCPA. I like to walk around a bit after that and go back to study more”

Abby Sheehan:

“My favorite study spot is the basement of Julian. My study strategy is re-writing my notes and asking my professors about things I am confused about; they know best!”
