I am one of those people that, to be honest, don’t really care to keep up with the trends. Ever since fashion became a “thing” when I was in middle school, I find myself catching up to trends a few months late. That’s okay with me, but I wanted to get ahead of the trends in today’s article. I scoured the web and read a ton of different blog posts, and listed below are the common fashion themes I saw for Spring 2022.

  1. Y2K

I am absolutely here for the y2k aesthetic, although I feel like it has already been trending for about a year now. I noticed in writing this article that a lot of the individual trending pieces fall under the y2k category. I’m not mad a this. I absolutely adore a good y2k moment.

2. Halters

I am here for this. I love a good halter. I think they can be so flattering and unique, just so different from a normal, regular tank top. Send me all the halters.

3. Platforms

Yes! I love a good platform. This (and almost all of these I am now realizing), also goes with the Y2K aesthetic. Platforms are amazing. They’re heels that aren’t painful and are easy to walk in. I am going to soak this in for as long as I can, and now I have decided I need a pair.

4. Low Rise

Nope, absolutely not. If you’re into low-rise denim, then please have your moment and look absolutely stunning, but coming from a midsize girly that struggles with pants that are not high-waisted, I am going to pass on this.

5. Sheer

I feel like sheer tops have been trending again for a while now, but I love to see that sheet shirts are officially making a comeback. Although, serious question, what do you wear underneath?
