This time of the year comes with a lot of change. Not only are the leaves turning from their bright summer green to their autumn reds and oranges, but we are all getting back into the routine of school. Especially now that the pandemic has a lot of us learning from home, change is omnipresent in our day-to-day lives. With that in mind, here are some ways to transition your wardrobe with the cooler fall season.

Break Out the Sweaters

This is what we’ve all been waiting for: Sweater weather. Now is the time to start finding some cozy sweaters you can pair with leggings or a stylish pair of ripped jeans.

Layers!

Remember that in this weird time between the end of summer and the beginning of fall that the weather can be a little unpredictable. Have a cardigan or a sweater with you for the morning, but be prepared to take it off once it warms up a little. In the evenings it’s also getting a little chilly, so be prepared with an extra layer!

Add Tights

If your favorite season is summer, and you are just not ready to give up your dresses or skirts, then add a pair of leggings or tights and you’re all set! Consider pairing with ankle booties or mule flats.

Wear Dark Colors

I absolutely love fall colors. Now is the time to add more maroon, burgundy, navy, olive, and grey pieces that just didn’t seem to fit with the summer vibe. Replacing summer florals with darker solids will move you and your wardrobe right into the fall season.

Accessorize

You may need to trade in your sunglasses and bikini for a scarf and a belt. Adding a few accessories to your fall fit can (pumpkin) spice up your look immensely. Consider adding a leather belt to a sweater look with jeans or wearing a scarf with your favorite long-sleeve bodysuit. The possibilities are truly endless!
