Bridget Donnelly ’19 and Kaitlyn Malley ’19

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at DePauw chapter.

This week’s HerCampus profile are our new HerCampus Co-Campus Correspondents! Bridget Donnelly is a junior Peace and Conflict Studies major and Philosophy minor from Chesterton, IN, and Kaitlyn Malley is a junior from Scottsdale, Arizona majoring in Neuroscience and minoring in French! Let’s chat with them about their HerCampus stories!

HC: Hey guys! Congratulations on your new roles as Co-Campus Correspondents! So.. first things first, how did you guys become interested in joining the club?

BD: Thanks! Yeah, I heard about Her Campus before I came to DePauw, so I was so excited that we had a chapter! I thought it would be a good way to get involved and give myself a little creative outlet!

KM: So I actually had no idea what HerCampus was, and I didn’t sign up for it at the activities fair. It wasn’t until Bridget was telling me about it and leaving for the second meeting of the year that I asked to tag along. That meeting definitely got me hooked, and I’ve been writing ever since!

HC: That’s awesome! You guys were already a strong pair to begin with! What were some of your responsibilities prior to being Co-Correspondents?

KM: The first year I wrote for HerCampus I was a writer in Style and then in Features. Last year, I was the Profile editor and one of the social media correspondents. I also took on the position of treasurer when the previous treasurer went abroad.

BD: I started out my first-year as a Snapshot writer, and last year I was the Snapshot Editor. I also worked as the Events Director!

HC: Sweet! So.. what are you most excited about your new role?

BD: I am so excited to have this leadership role in HerCampus! As an editor, I have loved seeing all the new content our team comes up with. There is so much energy and excitement on the team and I know we can achieve great things this year!

KM: Yeah, I agree! I am also super excited for both our new writers and our writers staying with us this year. The graduating seniors were some of the first people that showed me what this club was about, and I can’t wait to do the same for the incoming writers.

HC: Yeah, I totally agree! What do you guys hope to see this year?

BD & KM: We would really love to see the HerCampus name become more well-known around campus. One of our main goals is to hold more events and to partner with other organizations more often.

HC: Wow, you guys are one impressive duo! We know you guys are going to do great things! We can’t wait for you guys as our Co-Campus Correspondents! Thanks for talking with us, ladies!
