Meet Junior Claire Wiles. She hails from Castaic, California which she labels a “truck stop town in the boonies of the Santa Clarita Valley”. She’s working on completing her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film and Television Production with a concentration in Creative Producing. In her spare time, she enjoys exploring her passion for photography. In addition, she manages the Digital Cinema Collaborative as Head Member and the DePaul Dance Company as Co-President.
Who are you?
I am many things combined in one body and soul. I am an ambivert, a food lover, a dancer, a filmmaker, a photographer, and on most days an optimist.
Who inspires you?
I am greatly inspired by the people around me who are pursuing unconventional careers in order to live a life of expression and art. All family, friends, and strangers I look up to who are living unabashedly true to themselves is the most inspiring thing to see.
What are you scared of?
Lighting and thunder. Which was a personal revelation once I had moved to the Midwest.
Where have you been?
Most recently, India. Not only did I travel physically, but mentally my mind visited many places it had never wandered before.
Where are you now?
Currently, I am prepping for a feature film I am producing in the first half of summer. It is a new, ambitious project that will test my abilities and how I currently stand as a filmmaker.
Where are you going?
I am headed off into a summer season of hard work and hopefully some unexpected opportunity. Although I don’t know where I’ll end up, I always try my best to appreciate where I think I am going.
