Lincoln Park Happy Hours As A Midterm Treat

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at DePaul chapter.

With midterms this week it’s hard to focus on anything outside of school. Obviously we all deserve a little treat at the end of the week and if you can’t make it to the end of the week I have some good news for you, there’s happy hours throughout the week in Lincoln Park.

Nothing says HAPPY hour like some of these deals because if I’m not enjoying a little girl dinner then I can most def tell you I’m probably hangry (ask my boyfriend).

Don Pez Fish Tacos

We love $4 tacos during happy hour. From 4-6pm Monday through Friday Don Pez has $4 fish and veggie tacos,$4 Modelos and $8 Margaritas but the offers only good if you dine-in which imo dining in is like a free little vacation so I don’t have to wash dishes after dinner.

Old Pueblo Cantina

So right off the bat their website has deals at the top, they have Taco Tuesday, Bottomless beverages on Saturday and Sunday and their Happy Hour promotion. Their Bottomless bev deals on Saturday and Sunday, for $25 a person you get 90 minutes and bottomless bevs from their bottomless drink menu till 3:30pm. Their happy hour is daily from 4:30-5:30pm, their cheese crisp is $11, cocktails are $8 and beers are $5.

Ramen-San

If I could I would be here every day for happy hour. Ramen-San’s happy hour runs Monday through Friday from 3-6 pm, they offer $5 Asahi draft beer, $6 Sake, $4 Fried Chicken Bun, $5 Katsu Tamago Sando, $6 Karaage Chicken and $7 Penicillin #2. You also have a chance of getting a free menu item, t-shirt and more!

Casati’s Modern Italian

They have deals all week, on Mondays they have 50% bottles of wine, Tuesdays 20% for their vegan items, Wine Tasting Wednesdays 6-7:30pm, 2 hour bottomless brunch for $25 Saturdays and Sundays 11am- 2pm and happy hour 40% wine and $4 off cocktails Monday through Friday 4- 6:30pm.

Sushi Hall

I will NEVER turn down any sushi happy hour and their happy hour is amazing! As a classic roll girl (sorry not sorry) this is the perfect deal, from Monday to Wednesday they have half-off classic and veggie rolls from 4:30-6pm and half off bottles of wine all night (two per table).

Tin Lizzie

Known for their iconic turtle racing, Tin Lizzie’s happy hour is a little different than the rest. While their happy hour runs Monday through Thursday they have $5 drinks from 5-8pm and turtle racing every Friday and Saturday for $40 you get unlimited chips & salsa, pizza, domestic beers, mixers and seltzers from 5-9pm.

Cafe Ba-Ba-Reeba

The happy hour here couldn’t get any better, from 4-6pm every day they serve $20 sangria pitchers, $1.50 pintxos, $3.50 tapas, $5 Estrella Damm bottles I would say this is probably first on my list of places to go after midterms to de-stress. Their happy hour is first come first serve at the bar or in the cocktail area only.

Ranalli’s

For someone who’s gone to school in the Lincoln Park area for the last 7 years (I went to high school in Lincoln Park) you would’ve thought I tried this place by now, their happy hour runs Monday through Friday from 5pm-2am, their menus a little tricky to find online so I guess I’ll just have to go try it myself!

Blue Sushi Sake Grill

Every time I stop at Philz this place always looks super cool inside and I will go in one day, just not today. Their happy hour runs all week Monday through Saturday from 3-6pm both dine-in and carryout and all day Sunday dine-in only. They have a special happy hour menu that sounds so good but sushi always sounds good to me.

Dom’s Kitchen & Market

While you’re grocery shopping at Dom’s their happy hour deal hits that after class sweet spot while running errands from their coffee and wine bar The Brew it runs weekdays from 4-7pm.

Before writing for Her Campus she wrote for Spoon University Her Campus's food publication as a national writer. She wrote reviews, a lot of how-to’s and even interviewed TikTok Foodie Faith Christensen on becoming TikTok famous and where she got her inspiration from because all of her recipes look super tasty. Outside of writing for Her Campus, Hanna has her own radio show on DePaul's radio station. A coffee enthusiast and barista (shocking), she loves trying different coffee places around Chicago. In her off time she likes going out with her boyfriend trying different breakfast diners around the suburbs. She has been a guest on WGN’s radio show with Lisa Dent and has an interest in political journalism and criminology. As the Campus Correspondent for HC at DePaul Hanna’s goal is for members to know they are making a difference not only on campus and writing for HC at DePaul but also outside of school. She hopes to show members that everyone in the chapter is valued and wants to make sure they know that HC at DePaul will always be inclusive student media!
