Finals As Told By Crazy Ex Girlfriend

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at DePaul chapter.

Somehow, we are here again. It’s finals week, we’ve cried a few times, eaten too much chocolate, and we aren’t afraid to admit that we are struggling. But the weirdest part about finals is the ungodly amount of time we spend in the old JTR. Every table is overflowing with papers, every seat is taken, and the dark green carpets are soaked with our tears. We’ve compiled all of those lib feels into a neat little list for you though, brought to you by the cast of Crazy Ex Girlfriend.

1. The moment you accept that you won’t be getting into bed at 8 p.m., but will instead be making the trek to the library.

2. That feeling when you get very worked up and start to cry because you don’t know the answer to anything.

3. You try and grab your phone to do a quick check on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Tumblr, your email, and Myspace — but your friend catches you.

4. When the public safety officers come over and ask for your ID.

5. The rabbit hole you hit around midnight when you start ignoring your essay and looking into what it takes to transfer anywhere else that isn’t experiencing finals right now.

6. Aaaand now it’s 2 a.m., you STILL don’t know the answers, and your test is in just a few short hours.

7. When you finally give up, accept that you’re going to fail, and get in the Vinny Van thinking that you might as well get a couple hours of sleep before you drop out.

I'm a sophomore at DePaul University majoring in journalism. I'm from Kansas City, Missouri and when I'm not writing, I'm probably taking a nap or eating sushi.
