Staying In: Things to Do!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Denison chapter.

We’ve all been there: You’ve had a long week of studying for exams and writing papers, and by the end of classes on Friday, you’re dead. Some of your friends can’t wait to go out for the night, but all you want to do is stay in bed, watch Netflix and munch on Cheez-its. There is nothing wrong with this. Sometimes you need a relaxing night to recharge your body from your sleepless week. So, if you’re feeling a night in HC Denison has some potential things to do!

1. Watch a movie: This is a typical option, but maybe you and your friends have been all wanting to watch a favorite Christmas movie before you all leave for Winter Break. Love Actually, anyone?

2. Have story time: Go back to your younger years, and have each of your friends share a high and low point of the week! Brainstorming together the best way to combat everyone’s lows can be a great bonding experience with your friends.

3. Order-in: Who doesn’t love a fresh pizza? Or if you are feeling ambitious, maybe go pick up your food from a restaurant in Granville.

4. Study: If you are really far behind, maybe catch up on your reading during the movie.

5. Play a Game: Group games are the best, and can be super fun. Apples to Apples is a personal favorite of mine.

6. Enjoy your friends: Staying in is a great way to bond with your buds!

Kaitlin is a sophomore at Denison University in Granville, Ohio. She is currently studying Economics with a minor in Communication. When Kaitlin isn't studying, you can find her attending events for her sorority, Kappa Alpha Theta, writing articles, playing tennis, or watching Bravo obsessively.  As a Bravo fangirl, she would love to meet Andy Cohen.
