- Love Your Body
I know this is easier said than done, but don’t be discouraged. Yes, it does take time, but in the end, it is worth it. I grew up always being told, “You would be so much prettier if you lost a little weight.” It took 17 years for me to understand that this is not true. Up until last year, I didn’t know how to love my body. I finally began to love every curve, crease, and imperfection of my body. I stopped comparing myself to other bodies I see because you know what? We aren’t all going to look the same. One thing I learned is that a sunset is beautiful, but so is a view from the mountain. Everyone’s body has its own beauty that is different from others.
- Know That You Are Hot
This is the biggest piece of advice I have ever received and also the most helpful. I had to learn my own hotness; once I did this, I became the god damn hottest girl in my eyes. Yes, I still struggle with keeping up this mindset sometimes, but other times I will look in the mirror and want to date myself. This being said, you need to make yourself think you are the hottest girl out there, and eventually, it will start to feel like you are. Having confidence in your hotness is honestly a game-changer. You will begin to feel like you’re the most powerful and confident person in this world.
- Don’t Care What Others Think
This might honestly be the one I tend to struggle with the most. It is very hard to not wonder what others are saying or thinking. Or you might look around and think everyone is talking about you. That’s just simply not true. Everyone is too wrapped up in their own life to give any interest to someone else. And if they do care enough to talk about you, it’s because they have nothing better going on in their life than to pay attention to you. After all, they are jealous. So go out there and be yourself, it doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks. Being your true self is the most freeing thing you will ever experience.
- Wear Clothes For Yourself, Not For Others
This is quite possibly the best feeling in the world. It took me a few years to find my own style that represents who I am, but once I did, I instantly knew how confident I could be. When wearing that outfit that represents you, you start to feel empowered and it makes you begin to feel like you are the main character.
- Go For It
As the wise Michael Scott once said, “You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.” The best advice I can give you is to go out there and take those shots (you choose which kind of shot). It’s up to you when it comes to interpreting my advice. Seriously though, it does not hurt to just go for that opportunity because you do have a chance of getting it.
