Comfortable and Cute: The Guide to Thanksgiving Outfits

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Delaware chapter.

We’ve all been there, sitting at the dinner table after inhaling your second round of turkey and stuffing and trying to subtly unbutton the top of your pants. This will not be needed this year- all the tight jeans, pants and miniskirts can be left behind for this Thanksgiving meal without losing in comfort or style. Here are some stylish and comfy outfits to wear this Thanksgiving.

The Sweater Dress: My personal favorite- easy to throw on with knee high boots and a cute jacket when going outside. Cream, grey, rusty orange or maroon are perfect colors for this holiday.

The Midi Skirt: This is another great option that is loose and flowy that is also easy to dress up! A midi skirt is perfect to wear paired with a chunky knit sweater or turtleneck bodysuit.

Joggers: Now depending on how fancy the occasion is,  joggers are perfect and come in so many different styles beyond the regular sweatpant versions. They can be leather, printed or velvet and they come in any fit or color. Joggers are perfect, not just for their elastic waistband, but also for the many ways they can be styled for any occasion.

Leather Leggings: If you are feeling a more edgy look for this Thanksgiving, then look no further. Leather leggings are great to throw on and make you look like you put a lot of time in styling them. They are great paired with chunky boots, sweater or shacket.

Shacket: Speaking of a shacket, this is another great option to look fashionable and chic with minimal effort or loss in comfort. If you didn’t know, a shacket is a sweater and jacket in one. A cozy and cute plaid option would be perfect for Thanksgiving!

These are great fall/winter transitional pieces that can be incorporated for any upcoming holiday occasion for stylish comfort.
