From a joke made about a celebrity crush to being the relationship in every big headline, Travis Kelce is living the dream of many.
It all started with the football player telling the world of how he went to see Taylor Swift perform in Arrowhead Stadium and so desperately wanted to give her a friendship bracelet with his number on it. This sparked a lot of conversation online. However, it was seen as a joke by pretty much everyone, nobody would have expected what unfolded after. While there was chatter about the pair being linked in early September it was not confirmed until Swift was seen next to Kelce’s mother at a Kansas City Chiefs game.

The buzz on the internet was intense to say the least. With pictures of Taylor from every angle being posted, memes being made and TikTok edits being created of the romantic pair there was no shortage of Taylor Swift content on the 24th of September. A day that will go down in Swiftie history.
There was gossip surrounding an after-party that took place in a restaurant that Kelce had shut down for his family, teammates, and Taylor Swift too. It is said that the pair were affectionate and comfortable with each other which caused people online to rightfully gush. After all of this already had the internet in a frenzy, Travis then decided to tell everyone on his podcast ‘New Heights’ that everyone who sat with her in the suite had no bad things to say about her, of course they didn’t. It’s TAYLOR SWIFT!!! Not only has Kelce won praise for owning how obsessed with Taylor he is, but people are also loving all of his references to her music such as her smash hit song ‘Getaway Car’. Her fans are loving how he seems to really respect her work and all she does, long may it continue!
Since this ‘Love Story’ has broken, Swift has been seemingly loving her Sundays in the football crowds. She even brought her star-studded entourage on October 1st, or as I would call it the first day of ‘1989 Taylor’s Version’ month. With celebrities in attendance such as Blake Lively, Sabrina Carpenter and Hugh Jackman, American football was the last thing on my mind after seeing the game coverage on social media, and apparently this was a common experience. Taylor has been the star of pretty much every report on the Kansas City Chiefs since she was first seen at a game.
This unlikely, yet iconic crossover led the writers at SNL to make a sketch on it, which was very funny, very close to the truth and also featured Kelce himself! Not only was Taylor discussed on SNL she appeared too!!! She introduced the gorgeous Ice Spice who has a super cute friendship with Taylor since their collab on ‘Karma’.
It is safe to say that Swifties all around the world are obsessed with this new romance of hers. After what felt like a drought of Taylor content before ‘Midnights’ we are all in awe of every move she makes. It has been more than fun seeing this romance begin to unfold and I know that we all hope that our favourite pop star is happy!
