Brown Thomas is doing a Gin Afternoon Tea

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at DCU chapter.

Don’t pretend you don’t love it, afternoon tea is great. Cute little sandwiches, delicious pastries and treats, and booze in the afternoon, what’s not to love?

The Restaurant at Brown Thomas is now offering afternoon but with gin. The new addition is a new Bombay Sapphire Gin-Spired Afternoon Tea. My version of heaven! It will be available from Monday, April 16th until Sunday, June 17th.

The menu includes gin-infused savoury treats – a Lambay Island crab crostini and goat’s cheese croquettes, Bombay Sapphire East macaroons with organic Irish salmon and goat’s cheese croquettes with ginger and chestnut cream.

If you’re not drooling yet, sweet dishes include a Star of Bombay mousse with creamy coconut, liquid raspberry and passion fruit, a gin-inspired raspberry and basil sorbet, a Bombay Sapphire East crème brulèe with a juniper berry, orange and angelica twist and a gin and tonic-infused Ecuadorean chocolate bar.

Can you deal?

Of course, this is all paired with a heavenly G&T Every drop of Bombay Sapphire contains 10 hand-selected botanicals from exotic locations around the world. Brown Thomas has a range of gorgeous tonics to choose from, the ingredients are chosen to bring out the flavours of the gin. Gorge!

This sounds heavenly! Perfect for a day out when your Mammy comes up to visit, or ideal sister date spot!

The Bombay Afternoon Tea experience is priced from €35 – €52.50 and is served daily from 3pm-6pm. To book, you need to call The Restaurant at 01-6171163.
