Well, it looks like spring is here which means it’s time to start thinking about the upcoming wardrobe! We’re talking flirty fashion and dress-up fun after a long, cold winter of hiding under our duffel coats. From chic, minimalist looks – to bright and bold colours, the Spring 2024 fashion trends are all up for grabs. This spring is all about serving up a colourful paean to a maximalist aesthetic…or perhaps the haloed and chic “mob wife” look -if you’re feeling bold. Whatever you choose, there is certainly something for everyone to love and explore this season.
This spring I have a feeling we are going to see a lot of playful pastels making a comeback, paired with bold statement pieces. Think lavender and baby pink, but with a twist of patterns and textures for that extra touch! As we know leopard print is here she is not going anywhere. So we can be sure to see much more of this incorporated into the spring lookbooks. Honestly…I’m starting to think a “mob wife x ballerina collab” is on the way this season!
Textures will be getting a lot of attention too. Sheer fabrics, ruffles and “power petals” are everywhere, giving outfits that perfect blend of casual and chic. We are seeing a lot of vibrant colours and sequins make their way down the New York Fashion Week runway-and we are so here for it. Designers are taking inspiration from nature and including floral motifs in looks, adding a feminine and artistic touch to pieces.
But let’s not forget fabrics. Metallics are in. This spring … expect to see a dive into the resurgence of 70s fashion, yes- we’re talking ABBA. Think disco lights, glitz, silver and gold… it’s all here! Again -we have seen much of this featured on the NYFW runway so far, which is where we are grabbing some of our predictions. These sleek and sultry pieces turned heads – but blinded eyes through their shine! People are layering golds and silvers, breaking “fashion rules”, which is really… what it’s all about.
