As usual Her Campus at Davidson was thrilled to find our Summer Survival Kit in the mail! This kit included a variety of fun and summer focused items which we used to reward staff members and further campus outreach.
The staff was rewarded for a year of hard work with the gorgeous Vera Bradley spread including: a beach towel, campus double ids, a twice as nice keychain, and an accordian wallet. The staff especially loved the double id wallets which allow for the featuring of two identification cards (perfect for college students!) The Spots bag tags were perfect for all the Her Campus at Davidson team members who will be traveling this summer and each member of the staff picked one up. The CamelBak water bottles provided the perfect summer giveaway especially around finals items since the bottles have a leak-proof cap and a drinking valve which allow for coffee and tea drinking on the go.
The rest of the items in the Summer Survival Kit including Monthly Gift, Brappz, Azo gummies, and Pure Silk were used by the HC staff at our table for the Sex Positive Fair. Davidson College has a fair every year to promote positivity surrounding sex and Her Campus at Davidson was asked to have a table. We set out these items from the survival kit since we felt them spoke strongly of female power and empowerment. Davidson students were invited to also share their thoughts on the clitoris at the poster we created for the table. The Sex Positive Fair was a huge success and the items which were included on the table helped create a fun and inviting atmosphere at the HC table.
Her Campus at Davidson always loves the arrival of the survival kits. This time we were able to utilize the items to reward ourselves for a year of hard work but also continue in our quest for campus outreach–all just in time for summer!
