College students, especially broke college students, could be saving so much money if they made the trip to their closest Dollar Tree or Dollar General (the closest one to Davidson is only 3.4 miles away). It’s a hidden treasure trove that has all the essentials – here are just 10 things that literally anybody needs that are available for $1!
1. School Supplies
Binders, notebooks, pencils, pens? You name it they got it!
2. Frozen Fruit
The Healthy Home Market in Davidson may have organic frozen berries, but they are probably 5x the price than the ones you can get at the dollar store! Think about the savings.
3. Cute containers
You can never have too many containers.
4. Pregnancy Tests
They’re there if you need them.
5. Umbrellas
A fully functional umbrella is only $1 if you go to the right store.
6. Charging Cords
Stop wasting your money on high-quality charging cables. Stock up on 10 low-quality cables for less than the price of one well-made one.
7. Speakers
It’s not the best quality but it works! (Batteries and aux cord not included)
8. A muffin tin
Harris Teeter muffin tins will cost you 10 times the price of a quality dollar store muffin tin.
