Thanksgiving is over which means only two more weeks until Christmas Break, Wildcats!  A month is a long time to go home and packing that much stuff into a suitcase can be tricky.  I know for me, flying home is pretty pricey so I never want to check a bag, and let me tell you, I have gotten living out of a carry on for a month down to a science.  Here are a few tricks on how to save space and put your queen of overpacking tiara on the shelf this holiday season.

Roll Don’t Stack

I will be shocked if you have not already heard of this game-changing packing tip.  Do not fold and stack your clothing in your suitcase like you would to but them in your closet or dresser.  Instead, roll them individually and saves so much room that you may be able to squeeze in an extra sweater or two!

Pack Matching Clothes

The easiest way to limit what you bring is to make sure everything coordinates.  This way you are able to wear and re-wear different pieces, different ways in order to create many outfits with the smallest amount of clothing. It may take a few tries to find things that match and go together, but try and keep everything in the same color scheme, or try layering!

Limit Yourself

A month may sound like a long time, but trust me, you will not be needing a different outfit for every day of the week.  Limit yourself on specific items so you aren’t cramming your suitcase an hour before your plane takes off. Simple things to cut back on are items such as, only bring two pairs of shoes, try bringing only 3-4 sweaters or 2 pairs of jeans. Odds are wherever you are going for the holidays will have a washer and dryer.
