Jeffree Star Makeup Launches, When??

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at CWU chapter.

High, how are ya? Today we are talking about the mother of makeup, the queen of YouTube, the spirit of Pomeranians, Jeffree Star. Mother Star has been on the down-low the past few months after their tragic breakup with Nathan Schwandt, back in February. Luckily, since there is a stay at home order, Jeffree has gotten back to uploading some content to YouTube within the past few weeks. Well, on April 19th Jeffree uploaded a video, reviewing some products, giving updates on the dogs, and announcing some updates for Jeffree Star Cosmetics. There had been some rumors circulating on Twitter that Star would just continue to release products during the crisis, but the video uploaded was quite the contrary. So, in case you don’t have the time to watch all 40 minutes, which I’m sure you do, here are some highlights and upcoming, dates for Jeffree Star Cosmetics.

At the beginning of the video, Jeffree discusses plans for Jeffree Star Cosmetics immediately. Anyone who watches Jeffree knows that he loves to partake in marijuana. So, for April 20th, it was only natural that JSC does a launch featuring some green and weed designs. In the video Jeffree shows some “Green Leaf Hand Mirrors” these come in three different designs, matte, chrome, and mint. Along with the mirrors, there are hoodies and hats. Unfortunately, everything in the collection is sold out, but make sure to keep checking the sight, because you never know if they will have a restock.

Towards the end of the video, Jeffree starts to talk about all the tea surrounding the Conspiracy collection. Jeffree then shows us the new packaging for the Mini Controversy, which is featuring their new shade, “Put it Back”, an emerald green color. Fans of the series wanted this shade back so badly, that JSC changed the packaging and invented the first-ever JSC single eyeshadow available for sale. As far as releasing these new products, that is still unknown due to the pandemic. If we were to guess I would say to expect summer to fall launch. Some other new additions to the collection include a green lemon-lime version of Shane Glossin’, along with JSC slime, I know, slime, iconic! And to fit with the 420 themes of the video JSC released a green version of the pig mirror, Shrek anyone? As far as these products being released as well, it is also unknown. Although these products are coming soon, JSC released last week that they are doing a limited restock on the Mini Controversy and Conspiracy. Within two days Conspiracy sold out, but you can still get your hands on a Mini if you still need that addition to your collection.

In not only this video but some other videos in the past, Jeffree hinted at a huge launch being set for late April early May. Although Jeffree didn’t say what this was going to be or include, he said that JSC is looking for a new date to launch, possibly June or July when everything clears up. Jeffree talked about how the stock for this collection isn’t even done yet, saying that some of the packagings were made in Italy and can’t get to the U.S. for the shadows and fulfillment of the products. This, of course, makes us all think that we should be expecting a pallet this summer, possibly this fall.

So, there you go, these are all the rumored products and collections to keep an eye out for over the next few months. When do you think restocks will come? And what do you think about the new products in the Conspiracy Collection? Hopefully, soon we will begin to see life coming back to normal, and people getting better to flatten the curve. Being in quarantine is not only hurting small business and non-essential ones, but it is also hurting people’s mental health. I can’t wait to be able to shop until I drop when it becomes safe to do some. The makeup industry is going to be hurting from all this, so don’t forget to shop Jeffree Star Cosmetics when you can! Stay safe ladies.
