Halloween Spirit in the Burg

Calling all Ellensburg, WA residents! You are in luck! This Halloween come celebrate on more occasions than just Halloween. Thanks to Central Washington University and many local businesses around town there are tons of activities to get you feeling spooky! So let’s have some skele-fun and get the festivities rolling! Here are some local events going on around town, make sure to check some of them out if you’re looking for some holiday fun.

 

October 21st, 2017 from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm – Rodeo City Rollergirls Halloween Bout

On Saturday October 21st, 2017 come and see the Rodeo City Rollergirls, from Bend, Oregon at the Ellensburg Racquet & Recreation Center! Doors open at 3:30 pm and bout starts at 4:00 pm. Tickets sell for $5.00 online in advance, or $10.00 at the door.

October 21st, 2017 from 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm – Pumpkin Carving Activity Day

BYOB, more like BYOP! Bring Your Own Pumpkin, to Iron Horse Brewery! They are having a pumpkin carving competition this Saturday starting at 2:00 pm. Bring your own pumpkin, or pay $5.00 at the door for one. They will supply all the carving, decorations and painting supplies. Iron Horse will be posting on social media to let people vote on who has the best pumpkin! The losing pumpkins will be SMASHED. Plus, we hear there’s a fab grand prize!

October 26th & 27th, 2017 – 7:00 pm – CWU Halloween Concert

The CWU Symphony Concert is presenting their annual Halloween Spooktakular! Two days of some amazing music played by CWU’s own symphony orchestra. Attendees are encouraged to come dressed in their Halloween costumes.

October 27th & 28th, 2017 – Starts at 7:00 pm – Haunted Forest

Be told the tale of Buck Morrison, the first owner of Lazy F Camp; whose horse ridden tales are to die for. $12.00 per person, $10.00 per student (w/ student ID) Tours start at 7:15 pm with 10-15 people per tour!

Began October 14th and continues through October 28th, 2017 – Haunting Ellensburg

If you are looking for something a little more scary this Halloween, come down to Haunting Ellensburg! Guests can expect to be pulled into a “horrific version of the Old West as they encounter a fearful village overrun by marauding zombies and flee for their lives from hostile villagers!” Admission $10.00 or $15.00 for VIP.

October 28th, 2017 – 10:00 pm – Freaknight Halloween Party

Come join Blue Rock Saloon for an EDM Freaknight Costume Party! Prizes will be given for different types of costumes, you don’t want to miss the “Craziest Party of 2017!”

October 28th, 2017 – Starts at 9:00 pm – Haunting at Central

Come join us at the SURC on Central Washington University campus for a spooky treat! There will be a haunted house, glow in the dark mini golf, free food and the classic Zombie Zone. CWU students are required to have CWU Student ID card for entry.

October 30th, 2017 – 7:00 pm & again at 9:30 pm – Monday Movie Madness Featuring Halloweentown

Come to the SURC Ballroom on Monday night to watch the classic Halloween movie Halloweentown! Free for CWU students.

October 31st, 2017 – 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm – Trick or Treat in Ellensburg, WA

Located in Downtown Ellensburg, WA merchants in the downtown area will be ready to welcome hundreds of kids with plenty of candy to go around! Kids should come in costumes, and be ready for tons of yummy Halloween treats!
