Going to a small school with a lot of students, there are only so many spaces to get alone time to get some studying done. Whether you live in a dorm or in a house with 3 other roommates, getting some alone time to focus on school can be hard. I’m here to tell you some of the best places on campus and in the town of Ellensburg to get some studying done.

D&M Coffee Company

Whether its downtown D&M on 3rd and Pine or the drive thru on Water St across from Fred Meyer. You will be able to get a bomb cup of coffee and get some work done.

Brooks Library

There are tons of tables that cover all 4 floors of the library. PLUS, they just added an espresso stand on the first floor that conveniently serves D&M coffee.

(Hint:There are tons of secret rooms on the third and fourth floor that make a great spot to hide out and not be around people)

Utopia

One of the closest off campus cafes that always has good coffee and comfy chairs to sit in and do some homework. They have yummy smoothies and even better frozen yogurt. Everyone who works there is super friendly and more than likely a college student just like you.

Winegars

Home of the best ice cream in Ellensburg. They tend to be a extra busy on Tuesydays because of $1 scoop night, other than that everyone its a friendly study environrment and the Red Bull Italian Sodas are the best in town.

Bistro 1891

Since its debut in 2015 it has been the busiest cafes on campus. Usually around 1pm it slows down enough to get a table, an Americano to get some homework  done or powow for a group project.

The Student Union and Recreation Center (SURC)

I know everyone is always in the SURC and it’s a busy place with all the people, but when you go to the second floor of the SURC you’ll find plenty of spots to sit at a comfy couch or table and chairs and get some work. It’s just a couple steps away from all the yummy food in the SURC as well so it’s definitely a good space to set up for the day and get all your work done.

Next time you find yourself in a pinch, and can’t find the concentration to get work done at home, leave the house and check out one of these studious places in Ellensburg, WA.
