Spring feels like it has finally arrived now that it’s not reaching freezing temperatures at night and it’s actually 70 degrees outside. While walking to class a few weeks ago, I wrote this poem while listening to “Adventure it Out There” by AJR, which I’ll be seeing live in just a few weeks. As this school year comes to an end, hopefully we can all embrace the warm weather coming our way.

My chapstick smells like spring

My headphones are on and

It’s hard not to dance

’cause I’m scared if I do

I’ll dance away off to the coast

My wanderlust activates when I hear

The sound of sea and spray

I’d give in but I fear

That I’ll walk to the edge of the world

And I’d fall off
