There is no greater bond then connecting with a drunk girl in the bathroom or a random stranger who holds your hair while you vomit at a tailgate. For most of us, we’re meeting a completely foreign pool of people during our first year of college. When we’re forcing ourselves to branch out and make friends it only takes a short amount of time to realize who’s going to stick around and who you’ll continue to follow out of courtesy on every social media platform.Â
Other times we just get bored with our friend groups, so we branch out and meet new people and click instantly. When every word that comes out of this girls mouth is more relevant than spaghetti and garlic bread, you can already tell you’ve found your new designated party pal. Here’s a helpful guide to who you’ll meet, who you’ll be to someone else and why you need eachother.Â
The Party BFF
Probably followed each other before meeting each other, probably hooked up with the same person, will probably get an invite to your wedding because they’re literally always a good time.Â
The Roommate
Someone with a different job, different circle of friends but the same sense of humor. Someone who loves you enough to share their closet with you but doesn’t know you well enough to know that you’ll never take the trash out.Â
The Classmate
Has the same major and is the first person you call for study guide help. You acknowledge them on campus and utilize each other during dead week, definitely have them on instagram but pass right by them on “People You May Know” on Facebook.Â
The Potential Bride’s Maid
This is the girl that knows your mom’s first name but can’t tell your siblings apart. A solid back up for if your wedding parties are off balance.Â
The Maid of Honor
This is the girl that has the same taste in wine but a different taste in bae. She is the person that calls you to get coffee before you’re even awake after a friday night bar crawl.Â
No matter which catagory you fall under, these girls are always great people to have around! They will really pay off when you’re looking for a new job and you know just who to talk to. Whether you are the Roommate or the Maid of honor, you’re the best people to meet in college, and it wouldn’t be the same without you.
