34 Hard to Swallow Pills

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at CWU chapter.

Have you ever had someone say something to you, give you advice or told you the information you just didn’t want to hear or it hit home way too hard? No matter what you are going through or where you are in life, there are always hard pills to swallow and things you don’t except that might improve your life. Here are a few we came up with, and who knows, this might be exactly what you need to hear right now!

  1. If you are the smartest person in the room, you are in the wrong room.

  2. If they do it once, they’ll do it again.

  3. Anyone gossiping about you is insecure about their own life and needs to feel superior.

  4. You can’t make everyone happy.

  5. The right people love you.

  6. People aren’t analyzing your every move.

  7. Everyone isn’t mad at you.

  8. You don’t have to be perfect to deserve respect.

  9. Some people won’t like you no matter how nice you are.

  10. You are going to make a lot of people mad when you start doing what’s best for you.

  11. Stop looking for happiness in the same place you lost it.

  12. Be humble, you could be wrong.

  13. Mind your own business.

  14. We ignore truths for temporary happiness.

  15. You will learn nothing from life if you think you are right all the time.

  16. The only way to win with toxic people is not to play.

  17. If it’s hard, it’s probably worth it.

  18. You are responsible for how long you let what hurt you, haunt you.

  19. No response is a response.

  20. If they wanted to, they would.

  21. Hating things doesn’t make you cool

  22. Timing will not always be in your favor.

  23. Not everyone has the same heart as you.

  24. Sometimes you are the toxic person who needs to be cut out.

  25. If the feelings are mutual, the effort will be equal.

  26. You cannot heal in the same environment where you got sick.

  27. Stop mistaking shared trauma for compatibility.

  28. You are not being selfish for wanting to be treated right.

  29. You are not a burden.

  30. It’s not your job to be everything to everyone.

  31.  It’s okay to unfollow people in real life.

  32. You learn a little more about yourself every time someone says good-bye.

  33. Confusion is fear in disguise, decisions are easy if you’re willing to be brave.

  34. Yes, you can.

Do you know a friend that might need to hear one of these? Make sure to send and share this with them and read our other articles for this week!
