The Top Bars to Attend During Homecoming!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at CUA chapter.

HOMECOMING IS HERE! And CUA it’s time to have fun.

Homecoming officially starts in four days and we could not be more excited. This is where all of the great people who had to finally leave college and join the real world (ew) return to heaven on earth and get to have a blast. Of course we all will attend the football game on Saturday to cheer on the football team, but the fun officially starts Friday night. Here are some places to keep a look out for, so you’re able to stay ahead of the game and plan your outfits accordingly. Because lets face it you’re going to run into everyone you want and don’t want to see!

Dew Drop Inn

This is a new hot spot that has come across everyone at CUA’s radar the past month. It is located at 2801 8th Street, NE and right near CUA! On Friday night they will have a DJ playing and Vinny Canniglia will be bartending!

Blackfinn Ameripub

Of course Blackfinn is on the list. Every year for homecoming this has been the hot spot to attend on Friday nights. It is located on 1620 I Street NW, so we will have to leave our Brookland territory but the uber ride is worth it. Blackfinn will be hosting a special from 10pm-close for CUA STUDENTS ONLY. The specials include: $3 Miller Light/Coors Light, $4 Mix Wells/Blackfinn Shooters, $5 Fireball/Red Bull Vodkas. So make sure you bring your handy dandy student ID out and take advantage of these drink specials!

Kelly’s Irish Times

Now moving onto Saturday night, we head to Union Station area. Thankfully it is only three stops away on the metro and at most $10 uber ride. Of course I am talking about Kelly’s Irish Times. We have all had unforgettable or forgettable nights in the basement of Times dancing like maniacs. Also the upstairs bar area will of course be available but be sure to get there early because it gets packed very quickly!

The Dubliner Restaurant and Pub

Saving the best for last, Saturday night also calls for The Dubliner. Now I will admit I am completely bias because I work here but it is where I will be all night. Live music from performers that will have a Guinness in their hand the entire time is only the beginning of the fun. All the bartenders are super friendly and willing to take car bomb’s with you if you offer to buy them one!

Happy Homecoming everyone, and let the odds be ever in your favor~
