Happy Spring! Slowly but surely it is getting warmer here in the District and you know what that means: we can go and have fun in the city without freezing our butts off!

Here are some awesome things to do around the city now that is it Spring and it is getting warmer by the day!

1. Cherry Blossom Festival

This is one of my favorite times of year! Finally we get to go into the city with our friends and have a mini photoshoot with them and blossoms! The festival dates go from March 20 to April 12. The parade is April 11th and the peak bloom time is from April 11th to the 14th.

2. The National Mall

Now this is warmer, we can finally have a nice walk on the mall and hit up all the awesome (and free) Smithsonian museums that stretch it. It is amazing to see people out and about playing soccer and having picnics and observing the beautiful moments to past presidents and those who served our country.

3. Georgetown

This neighborhood is one of my favorite neighborhoods in D.C. I love all the restaurants and shops. Also walking along the Potomac at the Washington Harbor is really nice to do. (P.S. Check out the Exorcist stairs)

4. The National Zoo

Going to the zoo here is one of my favorite things. It’s a great zoo and I love seeing all the different animals. My favorite thing to do is go to the Think Tank and learn about the orangutan.

5. Nationals Game

Being a baseball fan myself, I love going to see games. Some tickets can be cheap and you can get decent seats. With baseball season starting in a couple weeks, it is time to get tickets and cheer on your Nationals (your favorite president during the presidents race.)
