           At the Catholic University of America, as the semester comes to an end, the formal season begins. While a variety of friend groups and sports teams will host their own private soirees, the university throws its infamous Mistletoe Ball.  The event is open to any student fortunate enough to snag a ticket (for a small fee of $20).  

           As with any formal event, the ball gave each student the chance to dawn his or her finest outfits for the affair.  Since we are in the midst of the holiday season, the room was filled with girls in dresses of darker shades and sparkly finishes, and the boys looked dashing in their suits and ties. 

            The night was a total success and exceeded my expectations by ten-fold (and with quite a few HerCampus ladies in attendance!).  Each student at CUA should attend the Mistletoe Ball at least once in his or her college career at Catholic.  Here’s a snapshot of a few of the lovely students who appeared at this year’s event:
