The Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at CUA chapter.

I’ll admit it, even I have become far to accustomed to seeing The Basilica everyday. The Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception is the largest Roman Catholic church in the United States and one of the largest churches in the world. Regardless of your religious beliefs, this thing is pretty beautiful. If you have a chance you should take a walk around inside; it’s easy to forget that people travel across the country and world to see what is sitting in our backyard!
