Why Fall Takes It All

There is always something special about Autumn.

Whether it’s the smell of the crisp air or the leaves changing color, something about it gets me so excited. Fall makes me romanticize everything, and going to coffee shops or studying outside is so much better. Summer was a blast, but fall means comfort and coziness around the fireplace while drinking a pumpkin spice latte. It is pretty difficult to enjoy a pumpkin spice latte in the middle of July when the sun is scorching hot.

Fashion

We all know that fall fashion is superior to any other season. This is when sweaters, dark wash jeans, and knee high boots come into play.  Sweater weather holds cultural relevance for a reason and we all embrace it. There’s something about layering a scarf or a cool jacket over a sweater that makes life feel like a fashion show.

Fun Flavors

Now don’t get me started on chai, apple, and cinnamon-flavored everything. Once these hit the markets, I know that life gets so much better. Specifically, Trader Joe’s  gets me every time with their pumpkin butter, pumpkin brioche bread, apple ciders, apple donuts, and more, and I can’t forget about Starbucks and their pumpkin cream cold foam. That on top of any drink, elevates it tenfold.

Activities

Fall is also the time when apple orchards and pumpkin patches open back up, and life begins to look like a Pinterest board. I know that for my friends and me, we make sure to look up all the different pictures we want to take at the pumpkin patches to curate them for our Instagrams. Getting ready together and figuring out the cutest fall outfits to wear for these pictures is a way for everyone to come together.

Staying In

As much as going to the pool, tanning, or hiking is fun, fall is the perfect opportunity to have a cozy night in. Being able to light a candle, put on pajamas, snuggle under a fluffy blanket, and watch your favorite fall/scary movie. I’m no pastry chef, but I even like to bake fun treats on autumn nights in; Recently, I delved my feet into some fall flavors and made pumpkin spice snickerdoodle cookies from Trader Joe’s. They are the best things ever, and I definitely recommend them. The flavor from both the snickerdoodle mix and the pumpkin spice make up the perfect blend in your mouth.Taking the time to slow down and relax is just as important as going out and doing many fun activities, which is why fall is truly the best: you can have a little bit of both.

Every season has something to offer, but autumn is the one that makes life feel amazing; colors and weather converging for the most perfect seasonal experience. Nothing feels quite as good as stepping outside and feeling the crisp air on your face with your Uggs on, ready to take on another day — except leaves crunching under my Uggs.
