Something For Your Screen – 28 Fresh & Motivational Wallpapers to Help You Start Off The Semester Right

School is back in session, which means if you weren’t already on your computer 24/7, you will be now. Massive amounts of school screen time means you are probably searching through pinterest looking for the perfect trendy/motivational wallpaper to use are your desktop wallpaper, along with your phone lock screen, home screen, facebook header, gmail background, twitter bio, insta story… should I go on?

While it may not seem like a huge deal, the checklist for a desktop wallpaper is pretty demanding.  You have to find something that’s cute but not basic, matches your personal style, doesn’t make you feel embarrassed every time you open up your computer in class, and motivates you whenever you sit down to start a painful study session.

I spent more time than i’d like to admit hunting down these adorable wallpapers that cover every demand on the checklist, just for you, my fellow Boulder Babe. So enjoy the scroll through this extremely aesthetically pleasing article, I hope you find your wallpaper soulmate <3

P.S. Stick around at the end of the article for some fun tips on how to change up the colors of your folders on Mac to match your new wallpaper!

Okay so you just found the PERFECT wallpaper (or 10) for you, but all those blue folders on your desktop really throw off the vibe, right? Don’t worry girl, i’ve got you covered. Here’s a short step-by step guide (WITH PICTURES) to changing the color of folders on a Mac.

(sorry ;-\\\ PC users)

Step 1: Select the folder you’re wanting to change, right click or click File and hit “Get Info”

Step 2:  Once the Get Info window opens select the tiny folder icon in the top left and hit “Command C” or Edit Copy to copy

Step 3: Hit “Command” + the space bar to pull up Spotlight Search and search “preview” then hit enter to open preview

(Your open preview selection may open to a screen that shows multiple items on your desktop, this shouldn’t mess with changing the folder color just continue on with the instructions!)

Step 4: Once the preview is open hit “File” on the top toolbar and select “New from clipboard” Hit “Enter” and a screen with your folder will open.

Step 5: Next click on “Tools” and select “Adjust Color” and a toolbar will appear

Step 6: Play around with the different toolbar options until you find a color you love!

Step 7: Once you have your color picked select the folder Icon that you’re editing, hit “Command C” or Edit and Copy

Step 8: Once you have your folder copied click the red X and exit out, and you DO NOT have to worry about hitting save, you can click “delete” or “don’t save” It’s just a waste of space if you do save.

Step 9: Go back to your main desktop and find the folder, right click again or click File “Get Info”

Step 10: Click the little folder icon in the “Get Info” window, click Edit “Paste”, or “Command V” and BOOM! Cute lil pink folder. All done!!

Now that your desktop is looking Fresh and coordinated AF, go rock fall semester!!
