Disclaimer: I am a sucker for any mini version of an item, so when I first saw these adorable drink koozies, my life was forever changed. And it’s just a bonus if it goes hand in hand with something I already enjoy, like a nice cold one with the girlies. Yes, I’m reclaiming “a cold one.”
Immediately after holding a drink in one of these bad boys, I was hooked. Not only was it super cute for my drink, but also for my ‘gram story – plus, I could see myself matching one of these on a lake this summer. Maybe, now, lifejackets will be in for Summer. Or, even on the slopes in just a few months. You could also look ahead to snow and shivers by sporting the extra-cute parkas now!
Let’s just get right into it, shall we? To say that they look amazing is an understatement. you don’t need me to tell you that, you have eyes. But do they really keep your drink cold? Or will they leave you feeling just like your lukewarm PBR?
I put these bad boys to the test. Picture this: it’s 85℉ outside midday in Boulder, CO – known for its 300 days of sunshine a year, and I have a canned coffee (it was a work day, okay?) inside the orange ski jacket. It’s my second coffee of the day, so I’m sipping slow. For full transparency, I was sitting in the shade, but it was hot outside.
A few meetings pass by, when I finish the last sip and realize it was cold this whole time. Im-press-ive! Usually I sit outside with my iced coffee and try to finish it before it gets warm, giving me the caffeine jitters, or just accepting defeat of warm gee-I-wish-this-was-cold coffee.
That’s when the thinking really begins, because imagine these at a darty (dager for you East coasters), or on the beach? Not only is your hand comfortable at the first few sips from not being cold, but your drink stays enjoyable for its full duration, instead of becoming a chore to finish. For slow sippers in all weather, and chuggers in the heat, these will keep your drink at its peak until the last drop. The combination of, dare I say, fashion and function, is married here in a beautiful way.
And this all sounds so good, but what about tallboy cans or the slimmer seltzer cans we know and love? No need to fret, the purple parka is a taller version of the other jackets, and fits both of those larger cans. There’s even a glass bottle version that looks like a sleeping bag! And just to cover all the bases while we’re at it, there is a version for an entire bottle of wine, also a sleeping bag. One more, one more! My favorite version of the Puffin Drinkwear products is the flannel for regular-sized cans. All of these are just so stinking cute! They make a perfect gift for anyone outdoorsy, so look no further for the camper, skier, hiker, or outdoor enthusiast in your life.
