Today, we’re celebrating. What are we celebrating you might ask? We’re celebrating International Podcast Day. Before you boo and tell me it’s lame, you know as well as I do that we NEED a reason to celebrate this year. So just go with it. Plus, if you haven’t hopped on the podcast bandwagon, then really, what are you doing. Podcasts aren’t necessarily a new form of media, but they’ve certainly been gaining significant popularity. There are truly some incredible ones out there with endless amounts of useful and applicable information and entertaining and hilarious bits that you simply MUST listen to. I’ve compiled my personal top five below that will ultimately make the complete survival guide for women in college.

“The Skinny Confidential Him and Her Podcast”

Listening to an episode of this is like an hour of self-care and new knowledge that you never knew you needed. This show easily takes the number one spot as my very favorite podcast. I will not miss an episode of entrepreneurs, Lauryn Evartz and Michael Bosstick, bringing in celebrities, influencers, entrepreneurs, experts and people from all walks of life on a weekly basis to share a juicy mix of wellness tips, business advice, relationship insights and so much more that are compiled to help you evolve into the best version of yourself. Listen to my personal favorite episode here.

 “Call Her Daddy”

If you haven’t heard about this podcast yet, let me introduce you. This feel-good, body-positive, entertaining-as-hell show features Alexandra Cooper and guests as they explore sex, relationships and social lives. This one might be for you if you struggle with your significant other or want to feel seen about a weird hookup you once had. There is never a dull moment on this show as the women tell-all and share stories from their most embarrassing, exciting and insightful moments.

“MOOD with Lauren Elizabeth”

Listening to the host, Lauren Elizabeth, feels like listening to a second mother.  Each episode, Lauren talks about her highest and lowest moments of the week and often touches on mental health. She always speaks in a way that is relatable, not sugar-coated and will ultimately make you feel more normal and seen. She brings on incredible guests like Marianna Hewitt, Emma Legar and Remi Cruz to discuss a wide range of topics like work-life balance, self-care, social media, business and so much more. Sound interesting? Click here for more.

“The Lady Gang Podcast”

This show was created by three women inspired by their bottomless mimosa brunches to create a podcast where no subject is off-limits. Hosted by Keltie Knight, Jac Vanek, and Becca Tobin, the episodes are celebrity-driven and always include hilarious, raw conversations. It’s sure to remind you of talks with your own friends, but amplified under the bright lights of Hollywood. Listen here for their latest episode with Paris Hilton.

“Gals on the Go”

Brought to you by Brooke and Danielle, this podcast covers all things lifestyle. The duo talk often about life in college and post-grad, which all of us at Her Campus can get behind. Who couldn’t use a little extra information about transitioning into adulthood and learning from their success stories? Check it out here.

Even if these shows don’t sounds like your cup of tea, there’s sure to be a podcast out there that will pique your interest. There are thousands of podcasts packed with tips that are sure to get you through tough moments that we all have throughout our years at college. We all struggle at times with body image, relationships and schoolwork and it can be extremely valuable to seek advice outside of close friends and family. This is just one of many ways to do that.  Have a favorite podcast that we didn’t mention? Share it with us on Instagram (@hercampuscuboulder).
