Plan the Best Spring Break with your Besties

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at CU Boulder chapter.

Spring Break is right around the corner and you’re probably trying to plan what adventure you’ll go on with your best friends. Whether you want to take a road trip or even go abroad, these are the best places to go for an unforgettable trip with the people you love the most.

California:

California is the perfect place to go if you are looking for a quick getaway, and want to be on a warm sandy beach or to go camping in the forest. Northern and Southern California have something different for every type of friend group. If you love sunbathing and taking a dip in the ocean, San Diego is a great place to spend your Spring Break. But if you and your girls prefer staying cool under shady trees, you can go camping for a week in the Redwood National Park.

You can even stop by some of California’s biggest spots if you are a big sightseer. San Francisco is a chillier place in California, but it’s great for you and your friends if you guys love to try new foods. If you love seafood there are many options down in Fisherman’s Wharf. Going on a tour of the city will help you make so many memories. You can go to China Town one day, the Golden Gate Bridge another, and for a chill night out, you can go on a sunset ferry ride.

If you enjoy being in the city and experiencing the hustle and bustle of everyday life, Los Angeles is perfect. There are hundreds of shops and restaurants to go to. Who knows, you might even see a celebrity, making it a vacation you and your friends will definitely never forget.

France:

If you want to be a little more adventurous and have an extra dime to spend, what better place to go than Paris, France. This is the city of lights and love, and the perfect way to experience this is with your best girlfriends. You will definitely feel like Blair and Serena from Gossip Girl as you stroll through the city, shopping in the fashion district Avenue Montaigne, and eating breakfast at streetside cafes. If you’re lucky enough, you might see a few models still in town from Fashion Week, February 28-March 8.

While it’s easy to get wrapped up in the scene of all the luxuries, you do want to stop by some of the famous museums, such as The Louvre. Make sure you stop by the Eiffel Tower. You may even want to check out some places that only locals know of. You can stop by Palais Royal Gardens, and Parc Monceau.

One of the things Paris is most known for is the food. Going on a French Wine Tour will help you embrace the culture of the food industry. While there you can treat yourself and indulge in pastries, macaroons, and of course crepes.

Whether you want to road trip or journey far this Spring Break, you and your girls are sure to have the time of your life. It’s not about where you go, it’s about the memories you make together. So if you’d rather stay home, you can even enjoy a girls movie night and still have a memorable Spring Break together.
