Alix Earle dropped a new ad for her skin care line, Reale Actives, promoting her Go Calm Serum. In the ad, the social media star addressed many controversial topics that fans have been raving about online. These Easter eggs were the perfect way to subtly acknowledge some of the drama surrounding her new show and her recent breakup. So, let’s break down all the Easter eggs Alix added into her new ad.Â
The ad starts with her walking into a room with a green telephone cord wrapped around her. To the left, you can see a poster stating, “Padded! Say Goodbye to Your Flat Behind.” This directly addresses the rumors surrounding her getting a BBL.The Easter egg could be Alix’s way of suggesting she didn’t actually get one. But who knows?Â
The next hidden Easter egg that fans noticed was an alligator eating a mirrorball. Now, this one was very hidden — I didn’t even notice this the first few times I watched the ad. This feels like an attack on Robert Irwin winning Dancing with the Stars last season. Alix and her partner, Val, made it to the finale and had one of the best finale performances ever. In my opinion, she really did look like one of the pro ballroom dancers. She also had the highest scoring of the season. However, the key part of Dancing with the Stars is that it is not solely up to judges’ scores — viewers also get to vote on their favorite stars. Clearly, based on this alligator, Alix is a little upset she got runner-up last season.Â
The next Easter egg was someone in the ad wearing a No. 95 jersey. Fans speculate that this was a hint to her recent breakup with Braxton Berrios, who is a wide receiver for the New York Giants. This couple had a very public relationship, with Alix frequently posting with Braxton on her large social media platform, naturally, their breakup became a major topic of conversation online. Alix opened up about the breakup on her new reality TV show, discussing how she was sad about the breakup and she missed Braxton a lot. People believe he was represented by the jersey number because he plays football and was born in 1995.Â
Within this same scene of the ad, you see a goat walk across the screen behind her. Fans believe this was to hint at the fact that she had a brief interaction with Tom Brady after her breakup with Braxton. Fans are sort of jumping the gun with this one, but Tom Brady was one of the “greatest of all time” or “GOAT” in the NFL. Alix never really gave the media any clarity after being seen at a party with him.Â
Alix then grabs a football from the guy wearing the No. 95 jersey. She crushes the football, causing it to deflate, before throwing it onto a grill and it catches fire. Now, there are multiple theories on what this could signify. Personally, I think this is her saying she is over football guys, since it didn’t work out with Braxton or Tom, and she is probably over dating men in that sport.Â
Alix then answers the telephone and refers to her product as “Call Her Calm.” This is a direct reference to her former inspiration, Alex Copper, who hosts the Call Her Daddy podcast. In her recent TV show, she explained that she once looked up to Alex, but exploited her to the media very quickly. In her recent show, Alix explained that she once looked up to Alex but felt Alex quickly exploited her personal life in the media. This led to the two to stop speaking and created ongoing tension between them online.Â
Alix’s last Easter egg was mentioning Singapore, which fans are directly relating to the Singapore Grand Prix that will be taking place October 9-11. She then replied to a comment with a race car emoji, leading fans to believe that she will be attending that show. Fans have also connected the reference to her recent sighting with F1 driver Lando Norris. As for this Easter egg, we will have to wait and see if it plays out in October.Â
Overall, I loved this ad. I think this was a great way for Alix to incorporate her feelings on some hot topics while marketing her new skin care product. Especially after the release of her show, with fans having opinions on almost all of these topics, this was her way of addressing the drama without simply posting a statement on social media. This was the perfect amount of funny and petty to all of the most recent dramas in her media presence. Honestly, it was such smart marketing, and I think most people agree — or at least her fans do. Â
