Let’s not overlook one quality that makes our campus great; our international students.if you listen closely there is a murmur of various languages on campus and learning a little more can only serve you well. Coming from all around the world these students can give you a new perspective on anything.  Matthias is a student from Germany, full of fun stories, different perspectives and might even teach you some German profanities.

Major:  Finance and Computer Science

Where were you born:  Regensburg, Germany

What brought you to Boulder, Colorado:  A study abroad program, plus the mountains and 300 days of sun!

Anything you think is interesting about our culture?:  I love the extremes about America. At any day you can have engaging conversations with the most different people.

#1 turn on:  Most of all: A beautiful, charismatic smile.

#1 turn off:  Both arrogance and self-pity.

Ideal date:  Good food (maybe self-cooked) and wine, ideally combined with great movies

and music!

Where can we find you on the weekends:  At house-parties, the bars on Pearl, or hanging out with friends.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years:  I could picture myself in various scenarios, though I can’t really make any predictions. After all I’m just very exited to find out. I guess with life there will always be some kind of uncertainty.

Ideal career:  As long as I end up having enough time for both me and my friends as well as the things I really enjoy doing, everything is fine.

Best college memory so far:  The American house parties are

Kristie Dunnigan is a junior studying business marketing at the University of Colorado at Boulder. She was born in Montana and later moved to the beautiful state of Colorado. Country girl at heart yearning for a big city life, she recently spent 3 months living in NYC interning for Oscar de la Renta as an international and domestic sales intern (and has spent everyday since trying to figure out how to get back to that concrete jungle). It's that city strut and over the top street style fashion that this girl cannot get enough of. Ali Chastain is a sophomore majoring in Advertising in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at CU Boulder.
