Having a job in college is hard! But it’s always nice to have some sort of income. Here’s a few suggestions for easy ways to make a few bucks while still having time for school, clubs and everything else you do:
Rover
Rover is an online pet sitting/dog walking service. You can sign up to be a sitter and set your own prices and hours for the things you do. It’s a great way to be able to make some money on the side while still being able to set your own schedule.
Uber/Lyft
If you have a car, signing up for a driving service like Uber or Lyft is another great way to earn money with flexible hours.
Become a Tutor
A lot of time, departments will hire undergraduate tutors and pay reasonably well. If you did good in a particular class and feel like you could help explain it to someone then do some research to see if that department is looking for tutors! Another good place to look for tutoring jobs is in the residence halls (for example ASAP tutoring).
Online Surveys
You can actually earn money by filling out surveys online! It might not make you rich but it can give you some spending money and it takes a minimal amount of effort. Click here for more info on the best websites to use to make money filling out surveys.
Become a Note Taker
Note takers at CU Boulder are paid by CU Book Store Gift Cards. This could be great when it comes time to buying school supplies and textbooks. Also if you’re already going to class and taking notes you might as well make money off it! For info on how to register as a notetaker click here.
