CU Football is Getting a Revamp

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at CU Boulder chapter.

Everyone had their hopes up for our football team to take home some wins after joining the Pac-12 last year. Lets just say we did not meet everyone’s priding expectations as we ended the season with a 3-10 record. However, things are looking up and eyes are wide as CU recruited a fresh batch of 27 incoming recruits for the upcoming season.

The team pulled most of the best players from Colorado, California, and Texas. That being said our head coach, Jon Embree, stated, “This class certainly isn’t just centralized to those three states when you look at the talent brought in from the East coast, especially the three players from DC and Yuri Wright from New Jersey.”

The team is currently standing strong at #36 in the 2012 team rankings. Last year, CU was placed 26 spots lower at #62. As you can see, the athletic department couldn’t be happier about the 2012 recruitment, so make sure to get your gear ready for next year because I have some great feelings about this new team!

F’ em up, F’ em up! GO CU!
