Happy September! Kicking off the start of fall with football, tailgates, and (hopefully) cooler weather, you may be craving all the yummy foods that fall has to offer. From fresh farm-to-table vegetable dishes to delicious cinnamon crumbles, restaurants in Boulder are sure to satisfy your needs.

Little Tibet Restaurant and Bar

Starting off with a personal favorite, Little Tibet Restaurant and Bar is a hidden gem in Boulder. Located in North Boulder on Broadway, you can find everything from momos and samosas to all different kinds of curry and vindaloo. Start off with Sha Bhaley for a delicious mix of ground beef and house spices, Dal Triveni for a warm mix of lentils and herbs, and finish with an order of Kheer for just a hint of sweet. Anything you order is guaranteed to make you happy! You really can’t go wrong.

River and Woods

Over the river and through the woods to… River and Woods we go! Okay, not over a river or through the woods, but this “Colorado comfort cuisine” dining experience is located on East Pearl Street, so it’s a bit off the main walk. River and Woods offers a plethora of cozy, delicious comfort food. Start off with the bacon wrapped dates for the perfect balance of salty and sweet. For that taste of fall, order the apricot glazed chicken. This dish is paired with a side of toasted cashew Isralei couscous pilaf and grilled asparagus. If you order a side, be sure to try the sweet potato mega bites, the sauce is to die for. If you’re in the mood for dessert, the dulce de leche churros will surely make your tastebuds dance.

Boulder Dushanbe Teahouse

If you’re in the mood for an aesthetic and exotic brunch, I would recommend making a reservation at Boulder Dushanbe Teahouse. With over 80 different teas to choose from, there is surely something for everyone. If you’re having trouble deciding, start with their award-winning chai, or go local with the Boulder Tangerine for the perfect blend of cinnamon and tangerine. As for food, brunch is your best bet. Served on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., they have sweet, savory, hot, and cold dishes to satisfy whatever you’re in the mood for. My personal favorites are the Chai Pancakes. However, if you’re in the mood for something savory, order the Indian Dosa.

There are plenty of restaurants in Boulder to satisfy your fall cravings. If you’re on a budget or looking for something more low-key, check out Trader Joe’s for their new fall products or even the Boulder Farmers Market for fresh fruit and vegetables to make your own favorite fall dishes.
